I’ve been dying to read They Both Die at the End, and this February felt right. It’s a romance month with a Friday the 13th which calls for a love story with teeth. #QueerBookClub

Hi babes, new playlist just dropped. 💕

And this one’s for the lovers. Kind of. I put together a few sensual jams and hyper pop bangers that I think make for a good time. Swipe for a little preview.

I’m kicking off the year with All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson, a memoir manifesto about growing up black and queer. It’s been on my reading list for a long while and I’m so glad I’m finally diving in.

In the second section of They Both Die at the End, In the second section of They Both Die at the End, Rufus and Mateo finally step into their “last day,” but it’s less wild adventure and more about saying goodbye. They visit Mateo’s father, who’s in a coma, and then his best friend. Throughout all this, I had to remind myself, this is Rufus’ last day too. And yet he’s patient and accompanies Mateo on this journey.

It made me think about what actually makes a day meaningful. Is it doing something unforgettable, or is it just showing up for the people you love? There’s some tenderness growing between them that’s really sweet to follow along.

My annual tradition of Dry Jebruary has been in fu My annual tradition of Dry Jebruary has been in full swing 🍸✨ (half January, half February).

I love supporting LGBTQ+ founded businesses and I’m so glad I found @aplos.world. Their Kola Fashioned was so surprising and tastes like an elevated cocktail, a little smoky and spicy. I’m excited to try more of their NA cocktails. This is #notsponsored just wanted to share.

Do you know of any other queer-founded NA brands I should try out?

I’ve been dying to read They Both Die at the End, I’ve been dying to read They Both Die at the End, and this February felt right. It’s a romance month with a Friday the 13th which calls for a love story with teeth. I love how in this book, Adam Silvera is exploring a relationship through inevitability when the clock of mortality is ticking loudly.

I’m also really interested in the entire universe built in this story where death is predicted and the ecosystem around it. Mateo and Rufus are so different but are coming together in such a genuine and tender way.

I’m excited to see where this story goes! Have you read They Both Die at the End?

Books and brekkies 📚🥯☕️ The second half of All Bo Books and brekkies 📚🥯☕️

The second half of All Boys Aren’t Blue goes deeper into family, grief, queerness, and becoming yourself. From caretaking and loss to first love, chosen family, and finally living openly, George M. Johnson closes this memoir with so much honesty and heart. #QueerBookClub

This was a deeply satisfying read. Have you read All Boys Aren’t Blue? What did you think about it? 💜
