But every year the season sneaks up on me and sprints right past me. One way I try to slow things down is by kicking back with holiday movies. And of course I want them to feature a gay storyline. This week I started Recipe for Trouble by @dylanthyme , a grumpy/sunshine MM romance about food media and social video virality. Allegedly there’s a Christmas element to it, but I’m still waiting for that part to arrive. I’ve officially finished Black Flame and I have…th I’ve officially finished Black Flame and I have…thoughts. Things get very messy and very gory in these final chapters. There’s a lot going on in this story to unpack: repression, revenge, trauma, queerness, homophobia, antisemitism, misogyny. This was a fascinating read, even if I still have questions about the curse, the film, and what exactly The Baroness is all about.
